Saving on Stroller Rentals at Disney World

When you have younger children, a stroller is a must for Disney Parks. However, it can be a hassle to travel with them, which is why many guests prefer to rent strollers for their trip to Disney World, especially if they are flying. But, did you know that Disney is not the only place you can rent a stroller? Weigh the pros with the cons to see if Disney is the best place to rent a stroller…or maybe there’s an alternative that will work better for your family.

The pros and cons to using the strollers at Disney World.

  • You don’t have to worry about transporting it all over the place
  • Disney offers multi-day discounts
  • You can return it when you leave one park and pick up another one when you visit another park (no folding up strollers for Disney transportation 🙂 )
  • You don’t have to worry about bringing your stroller from home.
  • They are larger in size, which is more comfortable for older children than the traditional stroller.
  • The Cost!
  • Strollers are rented out on a first come, first served basis
  • You have to take time out of your day to pick up and drop off strollers
  • Disney Springs requires a $100 deposit and must be returned to the same location you picked up the stroller to get your deposit returned to you.
  • Since they are made of hard plastic, they are not suitable for infants

If you find that the cons are outweighing the pros, then there is another solution for you. Not too long ago, I started working with Buena Vista Scooter Rentals and I have been impressed with their services. Check out the pros and cons and see how they match up to the rentals at Disney World.
  • They will drop off and pick up all rentals for FREE at all Disney World Resort locations
  • Once you have your stroller, you have the ability to use it wherever you want during your rental period
  • Cheaper than renting at Disney World
  • You don’t have to worry about bringing your stroller from home.
  • Free rain covers available upon request (depending upon availability). However, if you don’t return the rain cover, you will be hit with a $35 charge.
  • All strollers are delivered with a combination lock.
  • Adjustable reclining seat and mesh material not only make these strollers more suitable for infants, they’re more comfortable for older kids as well.
  • You are responsible for folding up and transporting the stroller to all the parks and your resort.
  • Some off-site rental properties may be charged a deliver charge, depending on the location
  • There is a cancellation fee if you choose to cancel less than 48 hours prior to your reservation
