Disney Says “No More” To Their Savings Program

Unfortunately, Disney has decided to shut down Disney Vacation Account, which allowed people to earn gift cards while savings for their dream vacations. No more contributions will be accepted and new accounts are not being accepted.

If you have an account and you want to know how to get your money back, you have 4 options:

  1. When you purchase a Disney Gift Card, Disney will add an additional 5%. Disney Gift Cards hold a maximum balance of $1000, so multiple Cards may need to be purchased. They will be send via email.
  2. Book a vacation. Chances are, you opened your account to put towards a Disney Vacation, so why not get started? You only need $200 to book a Vacation Package and the rest can be paid off on your own schedule. Just be sure the balance is paid off by the due date.
  3. Do Nothing. Even if you forget, Disney will not take your money and run. After September 27, 2017, Disney will close all Accounts and issue refunds to the account holders in the original form of payment or a check will be sent to the address on your account. As a bonus, you will also receive a 2% or $5 Disney Gift Card (whichever is greater) sent to you.
  4. Request a Refund. You can request a refund before September 27, however, you will not be eligible to receive the Bonus Disney Gift Card.

Have additional questions? Visit Disney’s Vacation Account and log into your account.
