We are officially ONE MONTH away from our trip to Disney World!!

I can’t believe that we are so close to leaving. There are so many things still left on my to-do list. One of those things are Mousekeeping Envelopes for all those wonderful Mousekeepers out there. Want to make your own? Downloadable image can be found at the bottom of this post.

It is such fun to come back to our hotel room after a day in the parks to see our stuffed animals have been placed in the window, waiting to greet us. Sometimes they’re just sitting there and watching the action going on outside the window and sometimes they’re hanging around in the curtains. Either way, the kids get a big kick out of it 🙂

While it’s not mandatory to tip Mousekeepers, the extra magic they sprinkle into your room each day is greatly appreciated. And since Mousekeepers can’t tell the difference between money that is accidentally left out by mistake and money that is intentionally left out for Mousekeepers, envelopes clearly showing their purpose is the best way to go.

This time around, I decided to go pretty simple. I cut out a bunch of Mickey’s heads, cut the ears off the ones that will go in front, and glue the bottom edge, leaving a nice little pocket to place the tip.

Sounds pretty simple, right?

IMG_6583I loved how they looked at this point. But since Mousekeeping are not allowed to take money that is not addressed to them, I had some more work to do.

Knowing that I had the super-cool Waltograph font in my Cricut Design Space, I decided to go the crafty route and try to have my Cricut write my Thank-yous for me. OMG…If I knew what a hassle this would turn out to be, I would have just written it out myself. Why must I always take the difficult route?

This is the first time I’ve ever curved lettering in this way, so I worked with it the best I could. I’m attempting to accept imperfections and not stress over every single detail, so I convinced myself that that once the writing went onto the ears, I would probably be the only one that noticed it wasn’t perfect.

I’m not extremely happy with how the wording came out, but for a first attempt, I won’t stress too much over it. The most important thing is that Mousekeeping realizes just how much they are appreciated.

Tip: You may not want to leave smaller stuffed animals on the bed. Unfortunately, I’ve heard of lovies hiding out in the sheets and sadly getting taken away from their families and ending up in the laundry room. 🙁
