Attractions Named For Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Anticipation for Galaxy’s Edge just grew, now that the names of the 2 Brand New Attractions have been revealed.

At D23’s weekend long Mickey Mouse Celebration,  Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, shared the exciting new details of the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

This brand new attraction will put you behind the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy in one of three unique flight crew roles.

According to Disney Parks Blog, “The attraction will give guests the opportunity to fly the Millennium Falcon, piloting the ship, shooting blasters or preparing for hyperspace – all while completing a critical mission. But how you perform on the mission holds even bigger stakes: perform with skill and you may earn extra galactic credits, while bringing the ship back banged up could put you on the list of a bounty hunter. End up on Harkos’s list and you may face a problem if you show up at the local cantina!”

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

This brand new attraction puts you in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order. It will make you feel like you’re on a Star Destroyer inside a hangar bay and will include a face-off with the sinister Kylo Ren himself.

And according to my Disney Travel Agent Site, this video was shot in the actual attraction!

Seeing all of these elements being put together is making for one impressive addition to both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios.

Watch a portion of the music that Oscar-winning composer, John Williams, created exclusively for the land, using new and original Star Wars themes.

What do you think of the names? And are you excited for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open up on either coast?
