Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria become official Walt Disney World Hotels

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando have been added to the list of Official Walt Disney World Hotels.

With this new status, the Hotels are now able to offer perks to these Guests who also purchased Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets during their stay in Orlando.

Disney Perks

You can now take advantage of certain Walt Disney World Perks like using Extra Magic Hours and gaining the ability to reserve Fastpasses at your 60-day mark.

Extra Magic Hours

Each day, one of the four Theme Parks opens early or extends later for Guests to enjoy select attractions.

Only Walt Disney World Guests can participate in Extra Magic Hours, so it’s a great chance for you to enjoy some rides with a shorter line.

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando do not use MagicBands. So, to utilize the Extra Magic Hours benefit, you must present an official voucher (which you get at the hotel) and a valid Theme Park ticket.

You can see which Park is participating in Extra Magic Hours by visiting My Disney Experience.

60-Day Fastpass Reservations

Beginning April 3, 2019, you will be able to link your Hotel Reservation and Theme Park Tickets to My Disney Experience.

Be sure everyone in your Room is linked together, so you can start booking Fastpasses, for your entire stay, as soon as your 60-day window opens.

With many popular attractions disappearing in a matter of moments, a 30-day head start over non-Disney Resort Guests, is the most valuable perk that Disney has.

New Updates in place to prevent Fraud

Because Fastpasses are so valuable, many Guests were trying to cheat the system.

They would book a Resort, make fastpasses at the 60-day mark, and then cancel their Resort Reservation as soon as the fastpasses were made.

Previously, Disney’s system allowed these Guests to keep their fastpasses, even if a Resort was cancelled.

And since Disney gives their Guests 100% of their deposit back, so long as you cancel 30+ days before the start of the Reservation, these Guests weren’t losing any money in the process.

But, with new updates in place, as soon as you you cancel a Resort Reservation, your fastpasses will also be cancelled.

What can not be added to your Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando booking?

Magical Express

Although these Hotels are official Walt Disney World Hotels, they are still owned by outside companies, meaning they are not eligible for the Magical Express.

However, these Hotels do offer a complimentary shuttle to the Theme Parks.

Dining Plans

Dining Plans are also not available to Guests who stay in these Hotels.

Magic Bands

These Hotels operate like regular Hotels. They do not have Magic Band capabilities.

If you would like to use a Magic Band in the Parks, which I highly suggest, one can be purchased on Shop Disney and linked to your My Disney Experience Account.
